The Takeda Science Foundation (“Foundation”) recognizes the important responsibility of protecting the personal information it collects and uses for the purposes of the Foundation and hereby declares that it will make utmost effort to use, manage and safeguard such information in an appropriate manner according to the following basic policy.

We have established internal personal information protection procedures and regulations on the collection, use, provision and management of personal information, and ensure that the procedures and regulations are fully understood and observed by the employees, business partners and contractors of the Foundation.

Protection of Personal Information
To ensure the safety of personal information submitted to us on the website of the Foundation, we have a strict personal information management system in the Foundation to safekeep such information and handle and use it appropriately in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Use of Personal Information
We use personal information submitted to us only for the purpose of answering questions asked and to the minimum extent necessary for the purposes of the Foundation.
Non-disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties
We will not disclose the personal information submitted to us to any third parties without the owner’s consent, except when disclosure thereof is required by law.
Response to Request for Disclosure, Correction, or Suspension of Use of Personal Information
If we receive a request for disclosure, correction, deletion, or suspension of use of personal information submitted to the Foundation, we will respond to the request promptly after confirming that the person who made the request is the owner of the personal information.

Handling of Personal Identification Numbers and Specific Personal Information

The Takeda Science Foundation (“Foundation”) recognizes the importance of personal identification numbers and specific personal information (collectively, “Specific Personal Information”) and makes utmost effort to protect Specific Personal Information and enhance the procedures for the protection thereof according to the following basic policy.

Compliance with Applicable Laws, Regulations and Guidelines
The Foundation will comply with the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures and all other applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and norms.
Acquisition of Specific Personal Information
  • The Foundation acquires Specific Personal Information only to the extent permitted by law for the specified purpose of use.
  • When acquiring a personal identification number, the Foundation will verify the identity of its holder as required by law.
Use of Specific Personal Information
  • The Foundation uses Specific Personal Information only for the purposes notified or announced in advance.
  • When outsourcing a task that involves handling Specific Personal Information, the Foundation will select a contractor through a strict screening process and supervise the contractor as necessary and appropriate to ensure the safe management of the Specific Personal Information.
Non-disclosure of Specific Personal Information to Third Parties
The Foundation will not disclose Specific Personal Information to any third parties except when disclosure thereof is required by law.
Management of Specific Personal Information
  • The Foundation makes efforts to ensure the accuracy of Specific Personal Information and safekeep it to the extent necessary for the purpose of use.
  • The Foundation takes reasonable security measures against unauthorized access to Specific Personal Information and other appropriate measures necessary to protect Specific Personal Information from leakage, loss, damage and other threats to the safe management thereof.
Response to Request for Disclosure of Specific Personal Information
If the Foundation receives a request for disclosure, correction, or suspension of use of Specific Personal Information from the owner thereof, the Foundation will respond to the request appropriately under law.
